My name is Captain David Goss, and together with my wife Ginger, we run Bocilla Blue Charters here in Cape Coral, Florida. We’ve spent decades enjoying the islands, beaches, and waterways of Southwest Florida, and sharing these places with guests has become something truly special to us. 

What began as our passion for being on the water has grown into a family-run charter built on hospitality, local knowledge, and creating memorable experiences for every guest.   
For years, my main focus was running high-end offshore fishing charters. I built my reputation on finding big fish and running successful offshore trips, and I bring that exact same work ethic, safety standard, and skill set to our sightseeing and island charters.  
 
I operate all of our trips aboard a 2016 Sea Hunt 25 Gamefish, a comfortable twin-engine boat known for its stability, smooth ride, and ability to reach the quiet, beautiful spots that make this coastline unforgettable. Our focus is entirely on private shelling trips, dolphin watching, island-hopping adventures, and sunset cruises. 

Whether you’re searching for shells on secluded beaches, watching dolphins play in the wake, exploring hidden backwaters, or ending the day with a Gulf sunset, our goal is simple — to make your time on the water easy, enjoyable, and unforgettable. What to Bring
  • Signed Liability Waiver: Please download, print, and sign our Liability Waiver (see Liability Waiver in top menu) prior to your trip, and bring the physical copy with you to the boat.
  • Sun & Elements Protection: Non-aerosol / reef-safe sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat or cap.   
  • Footwear: Water shoes, sandals, or soft deck shoes (flip-flops or bare feet are fine for shelling on the beach).   
  • Swim & Beach Gear: Towels, swimsuits, and dry bags for electronics/wallets.   
  • Food & Beverages: Bring your favorite snacks and drinks in a small cooler (ice and bottled water provided on board).   
  • Optional Items: Cameras, binoculars for dolphin spotting, and cash for restaurant tipping/souvenirs at Cabbage Key.

The Boat
Bocilla Blue is a 2016 Sea Hunt Gamefish 25 featuring comfortable forward seating. Measuring 25' 6" with a wide 9' beam, she is powered by twin Yamaha 150s to deliver a smooth, quiet, and stable ride across the waterways. She is equipped with modern Simrad electronics, VHF radio, radar, and a Garmin InReach Mini 2 satellite communicator for complete safety and peace of mind on every trip.For your comfort and convenience, she features an onboard head (bathroom) and spacious seating throughout. We also keep a large built-in cooler fully iced to store your drinks, snacks, and any shells or beach treasures you collect along the way.

No. You'll be fishing under Captain Dave's license. 
Yes. Every passenger boarding the vessel must sign a waiver and release of liability prior to the trip. You can download and review the form in advance on our Liability Waiver page.
We want to make booking easy while protecting our charter schedule:

  • Standard Cancellation: Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled departure will receive a full refund.

  • Short-Notice Cancellations: Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before departure are non-refundable, but we will gladly work with you to reschedule your trip.

  • Last-Minute & No-Shows: Cancellations within 24 hours of departure or failure to show up at the dock are strictly non-refundable.

  • Captain & Weather Safety: If unsafe weather or marine conditions force us to cancel your trip, you will receive a 100% full refund or the option to reschedule.
We pick up all passengers at Lavender's Landing Park:               
  • Address: 7290 Barrancas Ave, Bokeelia, FL 33922             
  • Meeting Point: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your  scheduled departure and look for Captain Dave at the boat slips.                                                                               
  • Parking Information: Daily parking is $10 (Lee County Parks & Rec Annual Parking Passes are accepted). Parking fees can be easily settled at the onsite pay station. 
No, smoking and vaping of any kind are strictly prohibited on board the vessel, as well as on all docks, beaches, and island properties we visit, to protect our environment and ensure the comfort of all guests.
Adults are not required to wear a life jacket while on board, though U.S. Coast Guard–approved PFDs are provided for everyone. 

Under Florida law for our vessel size, children under 6 years of age must wear a life jacket at all times while the boat is underway. 

We have children's life jackets on board, but if your child has one that they find comfortable and prefer wearing, you are more than welcome to bring it along!
No. Feeding the dolphins, seagulls, pelicans, turtles, or any other wildlife while on board, on the beaches, or while visiting the islands is strictly prohibited.
No. The state of Florida does not allow you to keep a shell if it contains a living creature inside.

No. Many of the animals that you may come in contact with are protected/endangered and should not be touched.
